Built for the ARB RD181 Air Locker Differential for Nissan Frontiers, Pathfinders, and Xterras, this ARB component delivers rugged durability, precise fitment, and trail-ready performance. Engineered for serious off-road use while maintaining everyday drivability.
The ARB RD181 Air Locker Differential is a high-performance traction solution designed to enhance off-road capability for select Nissan vehicles. Featuring a pneumatically operated locking system, this differential allows you to instantly lock both wheels on a given axle with just the flick of a switch. This capability provides maximum traction in challenging terrain, ensuring your vehicle maintains optimal grip when navigating obstacles such as mud, snow, or rocky surfaces. The durable steel construction guarantees long-lasting performance, even under harsh conditions, making it an essential upgrade for serious off-road enthusiasts. When disengaged, the Air Locker operates as a conventional open differential, promoting smooth on-road driving and reducing driveline wear. This design allows drivers to switch seamlessly between normal driving and off-road modes, offering versatility without sacrificing comfort or safety. Suitable for front axles with a 1.09-inch shaft diameter and 27 spline count, the ARB RD181 fits a range of Nissan models including 2012-2016 Frontier, 2012-2015 Xterra, and 2012-2015 Pathfinder. Installation involves standard fitment procedures, and the differential's compact design ensures minimal impact on existing vehicle components. The ARB Air Locker Differential is an essential upgrade for those seeking enhanced control and reliability in rugged terrain, providing 100% traction on demand without affecting everyday drivability. It is manufactured in a sleek silver finish to match OEM aesthetics and includes all necessary hardware for secure installation. Please note that this product contains chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm, so appropriate safety precautions are recommended during installation and use.
