The Factor 55 Hawse Fairlead 1.0 inch thick is engineered for demanding off-road and recovery applications, crafted from high-grade 6061 aluminum with a durable MIL-A-8625F Type III hard anodized gray finish. This thicker aluminum construction offers a larger outer fillet radius, allowing synthetic ropes to slide smoothly and reducing stress on the rope fibers during high-angle pulls, ultimately extending the lifespan of your winch rope. Its design features a taller opening compatible with larger 1/2 inch diameter rope tube thimbles, accommodating a range of synthetic rope sizes for versatile use. The machined outer corner chamfer helps minimize rope stress, especially when using the winch as a front suspension 'suck down' device, ensuring reliability in extreme recovery scenarios.
