A Bond That Holds AnywhereIf you live in a less-than-ideal climate — really cold, hot, or humid — the factory adhesive can lose its grip over time. This super-strong Gorilla heavy duty mounting tape is the best replacement available, and StickerFab pre-cuts every strip to match the 21 Offroad seatbelt retention buckles perfectly. Just stick it over the original 3M tape, or peel the old tape off and replace it with a fresh strip. Sold in a 3-pack so you've got backups on hand. |
Install in a warm environment (70–80°F) and refrain from use for 24 hours while the bond strengthens.
The adhesive continues to "wet out" and grip after application: roughly 50% of ultimate bond strength in 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours, and 100% after 72 hours. Warmer temperatures speed this up; a short hour of gentle heat can accelerate and even increase the final bond.
